Aulds Factory Rises Out of the Flames

Working hand in hand with DeBoer Structures, SGB Rovacabin’s rapid response design and installation service meant that a full production line could be up and running in just five weeks - a fraction of the “down-time” which would have been necessary if traditional building methods were used. In order that the Aulds personnel could be back to work as soon as possible to limit the effect on production and supply, SGB Rovacabin was drafted in to supply its highly versatile modular units for use as a development kitchen, a laboratory, office space and a staff area, including changing rooms and canteen. The units, once in place were linked to the DeBoer structure, which provided the production facility. The temporary structures will be in place until summer 2007 while renovation and rebuilding takes place, however the Company has managed to maintain its manufacturing schedules which otherwise would have been delayed. Donald Burt, production director with Aulds, comments: “It’s business as usual. The temporary structures are a very good replacement for the existing facility. We have the space for our various requirements and the units comply with the regulations and our quality control standards.”
